Payment Information

CompView accepts the following credit card payment methods:
VISA
MasterCard
American Express
Federal IMPAC

We do not charge your credit card for an item until it is shipped. All orders are subject to verification and approval by the card-issuing bank. For your protection, orders shipped to an address other than your billing address may require additional verification.

Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number (the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you). Incorrect information may cause a delay in processing your order. There is no surcharge for using your credit card to make purchases with CompView.

We can only accept credit cards from cardholders with a billing and shipping address located within the United States. The credit card must also be issued in the United States

We accept the following additional methods for payment:

Company check
Prsonal check
Money order

We accept checks in US dollars only. Orders are processed upon receipt of a money order or cashier's check. For personal and company checks, please allow up to 10 banking days after receipt for clearance of funds before the order is processed.

Purchase Orders
Purchase orders are accepted for corporate, education, and government organizations with approved credit. CompView payment terms are Net 20.

Leasing
Leasing options are available. Ask a CompView representative for details or request to have leasing rates and options included in your quote.

Credit and Terms
New customers requesting payment terms must provide either a credit card number or a purchase order number. The account will not be charged for the order, unless the agreed upon payment terms are not met. Our terms are Net 20 Days on approval of credit. If your organization would like to be considered for credit, please download a credit application.

Payment Currency
All prices on the CompView website are quoted in U.S. currency and all orders must be transacted in the same.

Sales Tax
Occasionally, we may also be required to collect sales taxes for other states, under certain conditions. Any time that we have a legal obligation to collect state sales taxes, we add the appropriate charges to the order and inform you of such.

If you or your organization have been approved for tax-exempt status in your state, please contact the CompView Accounting Department.

Tax Exempt Status
If your firm holds a valid sales tax exemption permit for California, Minnesota, Oregon, Utah, Washington or Wyoming, please proceed as follows:

Fax a copy of your tax-exempt permit, a contact name and phone number to 503-626-8439 along with your order number. Our accounting group will zero out the tax on your initial order and set up your account for tax-exempt status. You will not be charged sales tax on future orders using this account. CompView Federal Tax ID Number: 93-0980767

Most states require that taxes be collected on sales transactions between residents and merchants physically located in that state. We have physical points of presence, or nexus, in five states: California, Minnesota, Oregon, Utah and Washington. When we ship orders to residents of these states, we are required by law to collect the applicable state sales taxes and pay them to the taxation authority in the respective state. CompView’s headquarters is based in Oregon, a state which does not have sales tax.

Contrary to what you may have heard, there is no moratorium or ban on collecting sales taxes for orders placed over the Internet. The Internet Tax Freedom Act of October 21, 1998 only restricts the states from applying multiple or discriminatory taxes on Internet commerce. In other words, it prevents the states from passing new types of Internet-specific sales taxes, but it does not exempt Internet transactions from previously enacted state sales tax laws. The Internet Tax Freedom Act provides this protection through October 21, 2001.


Invoices
A copy of your final invoice will be mailed to you under separate cover at the time of shipment. If you later need a duplicate copy of your invoice, please call a Customer Service Representative at 800.448.8439.

Shipping and Returns

Shipping Methods
We charge a shipping fee based upon the shipment option that you select at checkout. The three shipping options are:

Ground Service
Deliveries to residential and commercial addresses in 3 to 7 business days after shipment. Actual delivery time depends on shipping distance and may vary.
• Product shipped within 24 hours of receipt of order.
• Available only to addresses in the 48 contiguous states.
• Signature is required upon delivery.
• Individual items over 150 lbs. or oversized may require an alternative shipping method.

3 Day Delivery
Delivery by 4:30pm the third or fourth business day after shipment to cities and by 7:00pm to residential and/or rural addresses.
• Product shipped within 24 hours of receipt of order.
• This service is not available to Alaska and Hawaii.
• Signature is required upon delivery.
• Individual items over 150 lbs. or oversized may require an alternative shipping method.

Priority Overnight
Delivery by 12:30pm the next business day after shipment to cities and by 4:30pm to most other areas.
• $25 will be added for Saturday delivery.
• Individual items over 150 lbs. or oversized may require an alternative shipping method. • Orders must be placed and credit approved no later than 12:00pm Pacific Standard Time.
• This is two-business day service to major metropolitan areas in Alaska and Hawaii, other addresses may require additional days for delivery.
• Signature is required upon delivery.

Oversized Items:
Please call for shipping details.
The shipment fee is calculated based upon a combination of the shipment method that you select, where the product is being shipped to, and the weight and corresponding size restrictions. This fee is clearly presented at checkout prior to finalizing your order.

Non-Deliverable Shipping Addresses
CompView ships online orders to addresses in the 50 United States, with the following exceptions:

International locations (defined as outside the 50 United States)
Post Office Boxes (USA)
Private mail boxing locations (USA)
Hotels / Motels, etc. (USA)
Trade Shows / Conventions / Conferences
APO/FPO addresses (USA)
Freight Forwarders

International Shipments
CompView only ships orders within the 50 United States.

Backorder Policy
If the item you selected is backordered, it is usually restocked within 3 to 10 days. We will keep your order open and ship the item when we receive the product. We won't charge your credit card or account until the product ships. If you decide to cancel your order during that time, please contact your Account Executive or our Customer Service Department at 800.448.8439.

In some instances, the manufacturer may have a longer lead time than stated therefore the re-stocking of our warehouses may be delayed for longer than 10 days. We will do our best to ship your order as soon as we receive the product.

In other cases, the manufacturer may only produce a limited quantity of a specific item. This quantity may not be sufficient to satisfy all of the orders placed for a particular item either with CompView and/or our competitors. CompView will attempt to fill as many orders as we can. We apologize in advance if we are not able to fulfill your order immediately.

Refurbished items are by their very nature "constrained". We have no guarantee that we will receive additional product and thus will cancel your order after two weeks if we are unable secure additional inventory.

In some cases, the manufacturer may choose to discontinue an item, even though we have quite a few orders for a particular item. This will force us to cancel that item from your order. However, we will contact you with alternatives to help you find a comparable product. If you would like estimated time of arrival of when we believe the manufacturer will ship us the backordered item (ETA date), please call us at 800.448.8439. 

Return Policy
All items are subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee per item.

Limited Non-Defective Returns
Non-defective items returned for credit toward another purchase of equal or greater value must be returned within 30 days of receipt of original purchase. The client will be responsible for the return shipping charges.

The returned item(s) must be 100% complete, in original and re-sellable condition, with all packaging, manuals, registration card(s), accessories and software. We reserve the right to refuse a return on any product that does not meet these requirements. Examples of this would include; original box not included, product damaged, or the box has been marred with writing other than the shipping label.

Special/Custom Order Items
We cannot accept any custom order items for return. Examples of special/custom order items include, but are not limited to, custom screens and cables.

Money-Back Guarantees
CompView does not offer a money-back guarantee on any product.

Return Procedures
No return will be accepted without a return authorization (RA) number.

To request a RA number, please contact our CompView RMA Department at 800.448.8439. RA numbers are valid for ten business days after issue. Place your RA number(s) clearly on the shipping label of the return shipment. Affix a label to the box. PLEASE DO NOT MARK THE BOX ITSELF IN ANY WAY. We suggest that you use a return shipping method that issues tracking numbers and also purchase shipping insurance for the full value of the original purchase. This will help you ensure the item is safely returned to our Returns Department and protect you in the event it is damaged or lost during shipment. Shipping and handling fees are not refundable, with the exception of orders incorrectly shipped by CompView.

Order Acceptance

Pricing and Typographical Errors
All prices are subject to change without notice. We make every effort to provide you the most accurateinformation. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical, photographic, or technical error or error in pricing information received
from our suppliers, CompView shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price.

If an item's correct price is lower than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount and ship you the item. If an item's correct price is highter than our stated price we will cancel your order and notify you of the price error and order cancellation. You will, of course, have an opportunity to purchase the item at the correct price, if you so wish.

Order Acceptance Policy
All orders placed must obtain pre-approval with an acceptable method of payment, as established by our credit department. We may require additional verifications or information before accepting any order.

Privacy and Security

Privacy
We value you as a customer and respect your privacy. For those reasons we will not share your customer information with any third parties outside of CompView. CompView will contact you periodically with information about special offers. You may opt-out of receiving CompView e-mail, fax or mail correspondence at any time simply by contacting us at info@compview.com. CompView does not obtain information about end-users without their knowledge. The only information we collect is provided by end-users through one of our feedback forms and may include name, company name, address, phone, fax and e-mail address.
